Well worth it!
Bought this unit at the beginning of Feb 2023: Have used it mainly as a back-up for load-shedding and also as a UPS: for when I cannot finish some work before the power goes off. Have tested with a full-on gaming PC with a 730W PSU, a laptop and study lamp on at the same time and with an hours use, it did not even drain the first bar on the battery display - So in my book that's good performance! Poor Product. Don't Waste your Money!
Builders should not stock Poor products in their Shops. First 6 months product work as per the Supplier specs (max 4 hours. With a TV and Media Box). After 7 months the Inverter fully charge only last an Hour if lucky. Product will only last till it's out of Guaranty, (Now I Have to wait 21 working days to see if the Supplier can repair it). Will not recommend buying it. *Not Builders Warehouse's Fault.

A great buy and a must for loadshedding. Really easy to setup. Basically plug in and forget about loadshedding. I run alarm system, router, WiFi extender, TV, light and my electric blanket and it barely uses any battery power. It does beep 3 times when it kicks in and there is a setting to stop it from beeping continuously during loadshedding. The instructions are basically useless but viewed a YouTube how to setup and programme the beeping. The fan running is like white noise for me now. You...

Greeat so far.
Great so far. Have had it for a month. Only my office essentials are connected to it. My main iMac, laptop and office lamps/lights. The battery levels doesn’t move.
It is incredibly heavy. Would recommend delivery option and help to take it out of the box.
Quick 2 beep alarm kicks in when power goes off but otherwise very silent. No invasive noise at all as I do office zoom calls daily and the machine doesn’t bother me.

Your internet, work & entertainment will survive!
Been using this since the beginning of March. Great product! Very heavy. You'll need help moving it and removing from the box if you don't want to cut open the box. Delivery staff was helpful with trolley. Powers our fibre, the router, TV with subwoofer, two laptops and a PS game. Switches from main to invertor without interrupting the devices. Definitely recommend it to survive loadshedding and not be cut off from your entertainment & work!

The battery on this unit is only guaranteed for 6 months. It WILL not last a year. A replacement battery will cost you R7000 from the supplier (price as at 25/1/2024). Don't buy it - you will be disappointed. In fact, don't buy any RCT product.
