The coat I colored came out a nice red. It was white to begin with, so I guessed that helped.

It was ok.
So the color is deep but it only dyed one pair of shoelaces like that. The other pair didn’t have the same deep color and they were both in the container together. The other pair soaked for another day and still didn’t take the color compared to the other pair. The dye then coagulated and turned to a jello like consistency.
